Introduction to Scratch

Learn how to teach simple programming commands using Scratch. Scratch is an online tool that students can use to develop computational thinking skills such as decomposition and debugging.  Additional resources will be provided so that educators can reflect, practice, and incorporate Scratch in their curriculum.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this on-demand webinar, you will:

  1. decompose or break down a problem into smaller steps using block-based coding in Scratch;
  2. use the process of debugging as an opportunity for learning; and
  3. explain how remixing or modifying existing projects draws out computational thinking skills, understandings and habits of mind.
